Ok...so there's this thing called the "A3C Festival" in Atlanta. It's the largest Hip Hop Festival in the Southeast. Described as "a 2 day, 3 night event held annually in Atlanta, GA featuring live performances from some of Hip Hop’s elite artists".... we will be rockin that b*tch :D. We took a trip to Atlanta on May 7th in the Summer time and got some reeeeal important business done and the grind is starting to pay off. We're performing on the opening day of the event, along with a handful of other notable artists; Dom Kennedy and Pac Div just to give you an idea. It's gonna be hard to not be star struck cuz you know were probably the most childish group of men on the planet...but...this...will...be...epic! Oh yeah...#Departure coming soon...

...Come 6 in the morning we will have said goodbye to our brother Wimpy for 2 months on the count of he has family business to tend to in his hometown Colorado. This whole past week we've been spending ridiculous amounts of hours in the studio trying to finish up things for "Departure" before Wimpy left. We gon' miss this nigga bad as hell...flat out...no homo. Departure will be amazing...and Wimpy is the funniest nigga on the planet...good luck in The Springs bro...i gave you my last ten dollars...ass hole :D

The Best & The Brightest At F.O.K.U.S. Radio

First of all shout out to DJ Teddy Ruckspin and the rest of the F.O.K.U.S. crew. F.O.K.U.S. Radio has showed us a lotta love in the past and they had us come through for the second time. The last time it was dope but this time it was craaaazzy. "The Best & Brightest" was the theme and they had Us, Red Pill, Nug, J-Young, and J.A.E. on the show. It was mad crowded in there and I (J-roc) was sittin in this broken ass wobbely (don't know how to spell that) chair..but we made it work...a lotta dope niggaz in one room,you know we held it down CSF style... check out these BARS CUZ! :D

Group Therapy It Is...

The idea of getting all the cities best groups under one roof for a show has been thrown around for a while now...but it's finally gonna' happen on Thursday June 24th. Show starts at 9. Ourselves, Phresh Heir, Street Justice, Cold Men Young, Tru Great Lakers, Detroit Cydi, & Blacsuun will all be in The Bullfrog for "Group Therapy". This is just the first of 3 big events to kick off a big weekend for Detroit Hip Hop...come out and enjoy the show...and WE (CSF) got something special for ya'll too :D

Mortal Kombat has always been the upper echelon in video game fighting and violence...Fatality. I was always a huge fan...shit I even still remember the code you had to type in on SEGA to get the blood on the original Mortal Kombat. A,B,A,C,A,B,B lol, yup, thats the blood code for Mortal Kombat on SEGA. The Prelude...

This past Saturday marked the most historic and legendary "Air Up There" we've ever seen. "The Battle Of The Bands" was the event; and the place was packed. Not to mention the final Battle between "Doc Waffles" and "Phenom". But before it all went down; there was alot of shiiiiiiiiiiit talkin' by the competition. "The Air Up There"...Battle Of The Bands (Winner Sh*t)

Okay. So "The Air Up There" was birthed by Sheefy Mcfly; and is currently the biggest and most legendary monthly event that our generation of Hip Hop has ever seen in the city. Every last Saturday of the month it goes down. But this past Saturday it was huge...a "Battle Of The Bands" to crown the best group in Detroit. The city lights were on as Detroit's best young talent got ready for battle. The crews present were; Phresh Heir, Thesarus, Scene 3, FreshMen, Us (CSF), and TGL (Great Lakers). Not to mention the battle between Phenom and Doc Waffles that would take place later that night. We had "TGL" first. And I gotta'admit, after goin' heads up with those dudes Im'a big fan of their music. Crazy dope. The CSF Vs. TGL match-up was probably the best first round battle since the Celtics/Bulls first round series in 2009. The winner was decided by the crowd's level of noise, and after the first punches were thrown...we were at a stand-off. Overtime it was. After the overtime, we came out on top and advanced to the next round. But i aint gonna lie...I find myself throwin' up the little "TGL" sh#t every now and then (good shit bro's). After the battle between Us and TGL, the final battle between bitter foe's "Doc Waffles" and "Phenom" took place. These two cats have squared off the last couple months in some of the most hilarious and dope battles we've ever seen, and this was the last one to settle it all. I aint gon' lie...we stepped out to map out our "plan of attack" for the next round so we missed it and are waiting of some damn video footage to pop up. But "Doc Waffles" came out on top again giving him a 2-1 edge over "Phenom" in their rivalry.
Next...Phresh Heir and Thesarus went head to head. Phresh Heir played live for the whole night...shit was crazy as hell. It was too much for Thesarus and they got bounced out. Thesarus is dope as hell though, they're a couple of under-rated cats; I saw them perform before at a Pac-Div concert after party. But after that; it was Scene 3 Vs. Freshmen...and Scene 3 put them out despite the crowd cheering "Freshmen, Freshmen." It was hilarious because Wimpy said..."I've never heard any of their music what are they gonna' do...Freestyle with no beats?" And...thats exactly what they did...and they won. That left 3 crews standing. Us (CSF), Phresh Heir, and Scene 3. After doin one song a piece...the crowd decided that it would be Us Vs. Phresh Heir for the crown.
The championship round was hype as hell...everybody was sweatin' and all that...real dope performers up there for the crown. But in the end...WE came out on top and got crowned the best group in Detroit. Big ups and mad love to all the crews that came out...and Phresh Heir for being probably the only Hip Hop group...that is their own band...craaaaaazy...."Oh yeah...Robin A Collins is the sssshhhhh...:D...she's responsible for all the dope Photo Action....

"Wait Until I Blow B*tch"

Year One

We started off as four solo artists doin' wack ass shows in random bars in random cities...for like...nothin'...not a damn thing. Not even like, the satisfaction of rockin' the crowd. But we're comin' up on a year since we've been together (no homo) and Yoooooooo...we've accomplished a lot, and had some dope ass adventures as a group. Being that we're just now starting the whole blog thing, its kinda hard to remember exactly what the hell happened, and exactly what day it happened on and all that sh*t. But i can tell you this...we went from pickin' out group names, to being special guests' on F.O.K.U.S. radio, rockin' some shows here and there and to dropping "Clear Soul Radio" which was named the best mixtape of the first quarter of 2010 by whutupdoe.com. We also recently took a trip to the ATL to make some moves and the road trip was a successful one. While in the "A" we were special guests on DJ Jay Force's radio show on Atlantas WRFG. We also hooked up some things that you'll see in the near future. We've also been able to come across some people we look up to and get our debut project in their hands. Pac Div, Kidz In The Hall, Brother Ali, Royce Da 5'9, Fashawn, Izza Kizza, 14KT, Finale (Detroits own), and a lot more. But most importanly we ran through like thousands of copies of the tape because of the fans...ya'll are the shiiiet. We sort of owe all this "success" to Royce Da 5'9 since he's the one who told us we should be a group in the first place...but we kinda holdin' off on that credit because the word "Success" is in quotes...which means we're still broke. But when we do get paid...we will thank you Royce. In the mean time...download "Clear Soul Radio" and Follow this movement we got goin' here...damn it!
